Pre-CNY feast

Yes I know, LifeIsALoop has been deserted for 2 weeks and for those who thought that LifeIsALoop has been discontinued, NO, you are wrong. The spirit of LifeIsALoop will never die! I was just hibernating while taking a few days off to face some side effects of a series of fortunate/unfortunate events. My guess is, 2008 will be a year with lots of challenges ahead for me.

 

In conjunction with Chinese New Year, my gang of friends from UM is still continuing the tradition of having our annual dinner even though we are now separated geographically.

 

Although we don’t meet that often now compared with last time when we were just staying rooms away, but we are still very close to each other. The reason is because we had gone through a lot and did a lot of stupid things together when we were still in UM. And in the process, we had also come up with a lot of funny nicknames for each other.

And for the dinner, it started with ‘lou sang’. Never underestimate the power of this simple dish because it brings health, luck and prosperity. I ate a lot of it yesterday and the supply is enough for the whole year I guess.

 

The next item on the menu is the shark fin soup.

So that was dinner and we went for karaoke after that since everyone can’t get enough of each other. So everyone was damn happy, selecting songs while ordering drinks there:

It was a fun night. Hopefully Dou Yau Kok, the organizer next year can make an even better one
