I was jogging and like usual, I do not have anything else to do other than repetitively looping my legs around that wonderful park which I would like to call “MerryLand”. In the same time, I observe Merryland and found out that it has a lot of visitor everyday. The varieties are from kids to grandpas and from Asians to Caucasians, so now you have an idea how MerryLand got his name
After spending a few months there, I found out that MerryLand provides enough space and facilities for various group of people. The first group, which I would like to call “Joggers” will routinely try to finish every laps as soon as possible while exhaustingly observing everyone else in MerryLand. Being part of the Joggers, I do wish to say hi sometimes to some familiar faces but I don’t have the chance because Joggers are usually loners and loners don’t socialize. That’s why they remain as loners.
Right down the slope, there is a second group called the “Skateboarders” and they do what they can do with their skateboards. Located at the middle of MerryLand, they are quite an attention catcher and from my observation, they seem to fail on the exact same move at the exact same spot every time. Although I couldn’t recognize whether if it’s the exact same person but it’s a good thing that they never give up even when they never improve.
Further, there’s the third group and this group is usually scattered which I called the “Walkers”. This doesn’t mean that other groups don’t walk but this group of people usually spends most of their time walking along the lake either in couple or family mode.
After passing all the Walkers, here comes the bridge where there is another group of people whom I like to called “Loners”. These Loners like to fish while admiring the lake of MerryLand and I feel a little uncomfortable whenever I thumped on the wooden bridge shooing away their fish. And this is also the same place where Walkers become “Blockers” who feels happier when they walk in group and blocked my path
“Boasters” can be found right after the bridge where they like to talk about how big their castle is and how many wild boars they killed when they went hunting last year. Well I do not know whether if they are actually boasting but there is one particular uncle who gave me that kind of impression. Yes, I can recognize that uncle from afar.
After enjoying a short ride down the slope, I have to do a short hiking up hill and I’ll know I’m at the top when I heard screaming and shouting of another group called the “Basketballers”. And further away, there is another group which I would like to refer as the “Grandmasters” where they gathered to play Chinese chess. Boasters can be found here sometimes too.
There goes my one lap around MerryLand.
