There are only a number of people in this world who can answer the above question. And if you are a bit confused with the question, let me ask again. Who is the lady in the water. Still no hint?
If you have heard of the name M Night Shyamalan, I think you should be able to guess what I mean now. And if you still have no idea at all, let me give you a few more hints. They are “The Sixth Sense”, “Unbreakable”, “Sign” and “The Village”. After having so much hints and you are still scratching your head, do not, I repeat DO NOT continue reading as it might spoil your fun when you watch them. Yes, there are all movies.
If you are a fan or at least watched a few of those movies by the director I’ve mentioned above, you may have spotted some similarities between them. Yes, the director is actually a guest of his own movies and appeared in every single one of them. This in fact, happens very rarely in western movies and if you can think of one, do tell me. The second similarity, which is a major one and which pushes the director’s name to fame is the unexpected endings of his movies. The endings were so unexpected until you couldn’t even possibly guess so when the movie begins.
From the first movie “The Sixth Sense”, who could possibly guess that Bruce Willis who was supposed to help a kid who sees ghost is actually a ghost himself? And the last movie “The Village”, who could possibly guess that those monsters do not really existed and the so-called village is not actually a village?
Back to the main question above, the lady in the water is actually his new production which will be released (worldwide I presume) on 21st of July 2006. Let’s have a look on the story:
“An apartment building superintendent rescues what he thinks is a young woman from the pool he maintains. When he discovers that she is actually a character from a bedtime story who is trying to make the journey back to her home, he works with his tenants to protect his new friend from the creatures that are determined to keep her in our world.”
Ok now, let us predict how the movie will be ended. And since it will be so unexpected, let me take a wild guess. Could the superintendent be another character from a bedtime story? No, that’s a bit lame and I don’t think it will end like that. Second guess, could it be the world that we are living now is actually a bed time story? Emm, possible but I still don’t think it will end it that way. Third guess, maybe the superintendent is actually a kid who likes bedtime story and the young woman is actually his mother who reads him bedtime story every night. Oh, that sounds so cool and I’m wondering whether it will end that way.
Whatever it is, the story will be revealed on the 21st and hope that I can catch it on time before someone else tells me the ending. And I will kill him/her if he/she does that to me, I guess he/she won’t expect that from me too
